Mangaluru: An under trial serving jail in connection to a rape case ended life inside the jail during wee hours of Wednesday, September 7.

The deceased is Keshav Gowda (38) from Vittal.

It is said that he had been to the kitchen to help the staff prepare breakfast for jail inmates when he hanged himself to the window grills of the kitchen.

Keshav was nabbed by the police in March 2016.
