Ullal :Severed limb of cattle found in Tulasikatte of house at Someshwar Uchilapete

Ullal :Some unidentified miscreants have attempted to disrupt communal harmony in Ullal area by placing the severed limb of a cattle on the Tulaskikatte of a house at Someshwar Uchilapete on May 8, Wednesday night.

The incident came to light on Thursday morning when Padmavathi, the wife of Sudhaker who owns the house, came to the Tulaskikatte to offer prayers. On inspection they also found that a cow and a calf in their shed were missing. However, the severed limb found in the Tulasikatte was that of another cow.

Newly elected MLA UT Khader visited the place on Thursday and assured to get a thorough probe into the case. He also urged locals to maintain peace.

Meanwhile reports also said that the Ullal police had failed to arrive at the spot till afternoon, though they were intimated of the case in the morning. Reports said the cops arrived only after  Khader who visited the spot telephoned them.

The Ullal inspector, it is learnt also prevented scribes from taking photographs. Locals said in an earlier instance the inspector had also prevented scribes from taking snaps of a house where a burglary was reported.
