Mangaluru: In an unfortunate incident that occurred in the City, two women died after being hit by a train on Saturday August 21.

It is said that the two women were attempting to cross the track when the speeding train hit them unaware. The two women met their end at the railway track, a little ahead of Mahakalipadu ground, Jeppu. They were on their way to deliver the rolled beedies to their beedi branch.

The locals and the Railway Police rushed to the stop. The police undertook investigation and the bodies have been shifted to the Wenlock Hospital for postmortem.
