Mangaluru: Two people were injured in an incident of violence between two teams at Mangalore District Prison on Sunday April 25.

Sameer, who was convicted of robbery at Panambur in the past, attacked Ansar and Jainuddin and injured two prisoners. It is reported that during the breakfast, a brawl broke out between the two of them. This resulted in severe injuries to the shoulders and backs of the two inmates.

The victims have been taken to Wenlock Private Hospital. Police Commissioner N Shashikumar has visited the jail in the wake of the incident.
