Two more from Dakshina Kannada test positive for COVID-19; Tally rises to 24

Mangaluru: Two more persons from the Dakshina Kannada district tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday, May 1.

Of the two cases, one is a 69-year-old man from the Kasba village in the Bantwal taluk and is a neighbour of the district’s first COVID-19 victim.

The other is a 63-year-old man from Boloor. He is the husband of a woman who has been working as a sweeper at First Neuro Hospital in Padil. It can be recalled that the wife tested positive for COVID-19 two days ago.

With this, the total number of corona cases in the Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 24. This includes 12 discharges and three deaths.
