Two devotees killed in accident at Dharmastala

Belthangady: Two people from Bengaluru died and three were severely injured in a car-bus collision at Puduvettu junction near Dharmasthala on Thursday morning December 25.

Car driver Puneeth (30) and Rajamma (55) died, while Prashanth, his wife Radha and their two and half year old child Yashika of R.T Nagar, Bengaluru suffered injuries.

According to the reports, Prashanth had booked a tourist car of his relative Puneeth to visit Dharmastala temple. At Puduvettu junction, the car which was plying from Bengaluru to Dharmastala, collided with a KSRTC bus moving in the opposite direction. The injured were shifted to private hospital in the city where they are recovering, it’s learnt.

A case has been registered in Beltangady police station.
