Puttur: Two persons died in separate mishaps reported from Puttur on Sunday, March 6.
In one incident the auto rickshaw climbed up the road median, killing a passenger, while in another incident a mini crane turned turtle near a railway track killing the driver.

Deceased are Dayananda (32) and Mohommed Haneef (53).

It is said that Dayananda, resident of Rotaripura of Chikkamudnur village was travelling in an auto when the vehicle climbed up the median near Old Police Station.

Though he was rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to injuries. Auto driver Gopal has sustained severe injuries.

Crane turns turtle

A crane turned turtle near railway track at Boluvaru Karmala killing its driver Mohommed Haneef, a resident of Mura.

The incident came to light on March 6.
