Mangalore: Three persons were arrested on Sunday July 6, by the Mangalore police in connection to the Murder of two persons from Kerala, who were alleged to be smugglers.
The deceased have been identified as Naafir from Thalassery in Kannur district and Fahim a resident of Kozhikode. The duo was known to be staying in a lodge at Attavar in Mangalore, where they were murdered.
According to the sources, the two accused smugglers were missing for several days, wherein it is speculated that they mi9ght have been murdered four days ago. However their bodies were discovered in Kasargod, recently and the matter came to light on Sunday July 6.
It is also learnt that the bodies were disposed off at a deserted spot in Kasargod, after which three persons from Cherkala, whose identities are not yet revealed were taken into custody.
Earlier Naafir and Fahim had smuggled 4.5 kg of gold, after they stayed in Gulf for seven months. They had smuggled the gold while were traveling to Kasargod via Bangalore airport a few days ago.
