Mangaluru: “Tulu movies have played an important role in developing Tulu language and culture”, said Sports Promoters president A Sadananda Shetty. He was speaking after inaugurating the new Tulu movie Super Marmaye at Jyothi talkies.
Ex-MLA Amarnath Shetty said that Director Ram Shetty has a good name in the field of cinema. He has produced many Tulu movies because of his love towards the Tulu language.
“Tulu Films produced by Ram Shetty are of good quality and people have liked them. Good movies always accepted by people, Chalipolilu which is going to complete 300 days soon is an apt example, said senior journalist Manohar Prasad.
The movie is produced by Adyar Madhava Naik under the banner of Anand Films, directed by Ram Shetty. It is a comedy film which deals about internal conflict among families.
Karnataka Tulu Academy ex president Umanath A Kotian, film producers Prakash Pandeshwar, Kishor D Shetty, Megina Malady Balakrishna Shetty, businessman Siraj Ahmed, Laxmeesh Bhandary, Jayaram Shekha, Karnoor Mohan Rai, DK district journalists association president Jagannath Shetty Bala, actors Shivadwaj, Naveen D Padil, Arvind Bolar, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Gopinath Bhat, Divyashree and others were present.

Super Marmaye will be released in 11 theatres across costal district. Jyothi, BIG Cinemas, PVR, Cinepolis, Kalpana in Udupi, Moodbidri Amarashri, Radhika in Karkala, Aruna in Puttur, Bharath in Belthangady, Nakshathra in BC Road and Krishna in Kasargod.
