Mangaluru: The big names of Tulu film industry were seen protesting outside Prabhat theatre in the city on Monday, opposing the stand of theatre management that was against the interest of a tulu film.

Aremarler, a tulu film that hit screen recently has been doing good business since its release. However, the theatre management informed the film distributors and producers in Monday that the film would be stopped screening to make way for a Telugu film all set for release this week.

Raged by this attitude, tulu film producers, actors and directors assembled outside the theatre stating that such stand will only kill tulu film industry.

Renowned actor Devdas Kapikad told newskarnataka.com that the said tulu film is doing very good business and the theatre has no valid reason to stop screening the film.

After long held talks between the film fraternity and the theatre management, finally the theatre has agreed to run the film.
