Mangalore: In a tragic incident which took place here on September 6, a  53 year old man died on the spot after his scooter was hit by a goods truck here at Kolya on NH 66.

The deceased is identified as Jayaprakash(53) from Madooru in Ullal.

The mishap took place when Jayaprakash was going back home after leaving his daughter near Thokkottu school. The truck from Maharashtra hit his two-wheeler from behind and he was thrown out on the road. He was also carrying fish and vegetables while going back to his house.

Jayaprakash was working as a broker in a real estate business.

A case has been registered at Ullal police station.
