Mangaluru: A case of stabbing took place under Konaje police station limits on Monday, January 2 where a truck driver was attacked by a motorcyclist at Kalkatta.

Rafeeq (38), a resident of Nettilapadavu has been identified as the victim.

Konaje Police sources said that the truck driver was going to Nettilapadavu from Derlakatte on Monday evening. Hamza, the accused was riding his motorcycle behind Rafeeq’s truck. Hamza got enraged over the truck raising dust while it was moving. Hamza stopped the truck at Nettilapadavu, and when Rafeeq stepped out of his truck, Hamza stabbed him and left the scene.

Passersby who witnessed the scene rushed Rafeeq to the hospital where his condition was said to be critical. Konaje Police have booked a case and a manhunt for Hamza is on.
