Mangaluru: Three students from the city are among 51 from Karnataka who have cleared the National Talent Search Examination held in May. The trio has cleared the final stage of National Level Talent Search Examination (final level) NTSE 2015-2016.

Praneeth D. Nayak, Prajna Hebbar and Rashmi B. Kasangeri are among the 975 students selected this year from across India in the nationwide competitive examination conducted by National Council for Education and Research. The trio was trained at Centre for Advanced Learning (CFAL) in Mangaluru.
These NTS scholars are eligible for scholarship of Rs 15,000 per annum for 1st & 2nd PUC or Class 11 and 12. They will be getting Rs 24,000 per annum for under-graduate and post-graduate studies. They would also eligible for scholarship for their doctorate studies. This NTSE scheme covers science, social sciences, engineering, medicine, management and law.
NTSE is flagship activity of NCERT in the direction of nation building for identifying and assisting around 1000 most talented students studying in X standard from all over India, year after year and nurturing them through generous scholarships and opportunities.
