Puttur: Three persons have been arrested and Rs 18.80 Lakh cash being illegally transported seized here on December 7.
The police arrested the accused Jaffer Sharif (28) from Kalladka, Nazir(25) and Iqbal(26) from Golthamajalu village near Mukrampady on Mani-Mysuru highway.

The trio was transporting Rs 2000 denominations of upto Rs 16.80 Lakh, Rs 100 denominations of upto Rs 1,90,700 and Rs 50 denominations of upto Rs 9,300 in a Ritz car.

Dakshina Kannada SP Bhushan Borase led the raiding team.
