Train services to be affected on Dec 15 due to construction work

Mangaluru: Services of a few trains from Mangaluru Central Railway Station would be affected on Tuesday December 15, following subway construction work at Jokatte between Padil and Thokur. Southern Railway would affect Line Block for six hours from 3.15 pm to 9.15 pm on the section.

As a result, Train Nos. 16518/ 16524 Kannur/ Karwar – Bengaluru Express would depart Mangaluru Central at 10.40 pm instead of the original timing of 8.50 pm. Train 16524 would be detained at Thokur between 7.40 pm and 9.20 pm, said a release from Konkan Railway here.

Partial cancellation

Train No. 56666/56665 Byndoor – Kasargod – Byndoor Passenger remains partially cancelled between Mangluru Junction and Byndoor. Similarly, Train No. 70105/70106 Madgaon- Mangaluru Central – Madgaon DEMU Passenger would terminate and start at Thokur instead of Mangaluru Central.

Also, Train No. 56641 Madgaon-Mangaluru Central Passenger would be detained at Surathkal/ Thokur between 8.05 pm and 9.45 pm. Train NO. 12617 Ernakulam-Nizamuddin Mangala Express would be detained at Mangaluru Junction between 10.05 pm and 10.15 pm, the release added.
