Train service in Kasargod hit after hoax bomb call

Kasargod: Train services on Mangaluru-Kannur (Kerala) route was affected due to a hoax bomb alert, on Wednesday March 2.

An unidentified person had intimated the Kasargod police on Wednesday night about a bomb having been planted on Kalnad-Talangere track.

With the call, the cops sprung into action and halted all the trains on the route. The police along with bomb disposal squads inspected the tracks, station and other nearby spots, but it turned out to be a hoax call.

Mangala Express to Kanhangad, Egmore Express to Kotikulam, Kachiguda Express train were stopped at Kasargod railway station and inspection is on.

The police have sought help of cyber cell to track down the caller.
