Mangaluru: In Dakshina Kannada district, a tragic incident occurred on Tuesday morning, claiming the life of a 58-year-old toddy tapper named Vishwambaran from Dharmasthala.
The former director of the Konaje Toppy Tappers’ Society met his demise after slipping and falling from a coconut tree near a residence in Somanatha Uliya, Ullal taluk. Vishwambaran, who was engaged in tapping, lost his footing during the climb.
The Ullal police have initiated a case in connection with the incident.
