Mangaluru: In the midst of a Karnataka Bandh called by pro-Kannada activists, a bus plying from Mangaluru to Tirupati was pelted with stones at Farangipet on Thursday, February 13.

The state-wide bandh has been called by pro-Kannada groups who demanded that recommendations made by the Sarojini Mahishi report be implemented by the state government.

The report recommends that Kannadigas be employed in a specified percentage of all private and public sector jobs.

Bangalore University decided to reschedule today’s post-graduate examinations even as Karnataka CM Yediyurappa requested activist groups to call off the bandh.
