Ullal : A fun filled Thiyere Kootkali marshy field Sports Festival was held at the Ullalbailu Shree Vaidyanatha Chavadi fields  on Sunday July 27under the auspices of the Ullal unit of the Bharatiya Thiya Samaj. The Sports Torch was earlier brought in a procession from the Ullal Shree Cheerumbha Bhagavathi Kshetra to the venue of the event. Several dignitaries were present at the inaugural.

Various traditional games like marshy field race, three-legged race, coconut  race., Jana Kambala, breaking the pot, speed walking,  treasure hunt, tug of war, pyramid formation, volleyball, throw ball etc were actively participated by several.

M Dinesh Kumpala, President of the Ullal unit of the Samaj,  Sadashiva Ullal, President of the Thiya Sports Festival Reception Committee, Manjappa Karnavar, Honorary President, Nagappa Adyar, Vice President, Padmanabha Madoor, General Secretary, Raghava Gurikar Uchil, Secretary, Suresh Bhatnagar, Treasurer, Ravindra Ullal, Convenor, Ganga Janardhan, Convenor of Women’s  cell and several others were present.
