Puttur: Thieves managed to burgle a lawyer’s house here at Tenkila in Puttur when the entire family was out of station.
The theft came to light only on May 14 after lawyer’s wife’s brother confirmed the same.

The theft took place at the residence of K R Acharya, a lawyer from Tenkila when the family had left to Hyderabad on May 13.

The thieves broke open the back door and fled with valuables.

The maid informed lawyer’s wife’s brother Sathish over phone about the theft and he came to Puttur from Kasargod to confirm the same.

Sathish later informed Puttur town police and registered a complaint. The exact details about stolen items will be known only after lawyer returns from Hyderabad.
