These are ten critical days, says MLA Vedavyas Kamath urging people to stay indoors

Mangaluru: The Coronavirus cases are only shooting north in the country and in the state.

On Sunday alone, six people were tested positive and with one more person being tested positive on Monday, the total positive cases in the state stands at 27.

After a succcessful Janata Curfew on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Monday spoke about how people are still taking the lockdown causally.

Continuing on the same lines, Mangalore South MLA Vedavyas Kamath took to Facebook to tell the people that they need to take the lockdown seriously.

“Namaskara, It is 10 Days Lock Down. If we don’t stay indoors and take it lightly it might become 3 Months. So it is time where we get more and more cautious about CoVid. Let us all understand the seriousness of the issue. These are critical 10 days,” the MLA wrote on is FB.

The post has garnered several comments where people have said that they are committed to staying indoors to ensure that the infection is battled.

The MLA has also posted a video and a few photos of him spending some quality time with his family, playing chess, reading the newspaper, rendering music with a harmonium and singing Bhajans.

The state government has announced a complete shutdown in nine districts of the state till March 31 in a bid to contain the infection.
