Mangalore: Five men were arrested on Wednesday July 9 in connection with the robbery at Baikampady industrial area.

The arrested have been identified as Hamid (20) a resident of Kaluvaru Churchgudda, Hazaruddin (18) a resident Kaluvaru Ashaya Colony, Mohammad Thaufeeq (23), Mohammad Safvan (20) and Mohammad Abdul Junaid (23) all three residents of Jokkatte.

Reportedly these men robbed 50 Iron sheets used for construction purpose worth Rs 54,000 and tried to sell it off on the road towards Panambur.

The police learnt of this activity and caught them red-handed. All men were taken into custody.

The operation was conducted under the order of ACP Ravi Kumar and leadership of Inspector Lokesh along PSI Bharthi, ASI Yogesh and Harish constable – Kushala maniyani, Manjunath, Satish M, Radhakrishna and others.
