Kasargod: Police have arrested three persons in connection with the theft of panchaloha ornaments from the idol of Sri Koragataniya Daiva in Shree Mookambika Temple in Kalyangad.

The arrested are identified as Muhammad Siyad(20), Muhammad Harshad(23) from Meepuguri and Muhammad Sharvani(21) from Kalyangad.

After robbery took place, police were divided into many groups to nab them.

The thieves had stolen the idol from the temple and threw it in a deserted area and escaped, said police..

Search is on for the remaining culprits. The operation was carried by DYSP T P Ranjith and his team.
