Kasargod: In a tragic incident an IT professional ended life after launching a precarious attack on his family members at Nekraje near Badiyadka on Sunday.
Ashwin Kalluraya (22) is the accused and the deceased.

His father Srihari (57), mother Latha (52), sister Suma (33), Vanajakshi (50), Sugunamma (80) have been severely injured as Ashwin resorted to attacking them with lethal weapons.

They have been admitted to a hospital in Mangaluru.

The local residents reached the residence of Ashwin on hearing pleas for help. After the attack Ashwin went missing and was later found hanging from a tree near his house.

Though he was rushed to a hospital, it yielded no fruit.

Ashwin was back home two days ago from Coimbatore, where he was employed. The reason behind the act is not yet known.

Case has been registered.
