Mangaluru: Pushpakiran, a TV technician and resident of Nehru Nagar in Someshwara suffered an injury to his leg, which later turned gangrenous. He was admitted to a private hospital in the city on April 27 and doctors had to amputate his leg, below the knee.

Having no other option, Pushpakiran’s wife was forced to take a loan from the bank, however, she and was unable to repay it.

In the meanwhile, someone had posted Pushpakiran’s image and story on social media, seeking help for his treatment. Pushpakiran and his wife have two daughters and he is the only breadwinner of the family.

The members of ‘Team B Human’ responded to the appeal and paid Rs 40,000 towards Pushpakiran’s bank loan.

This relief, however, is temporary as Pushpakiran cannot work for the foreseeable future. Hence, the family has no choice to depend on donors to lead a normal life.

Anyone wanting to contribute towards Pushpakiran’s future has been asked to contact Team B Human.

Recently, Team B Human helped the family of Umar Farooq, whose 3-year-old son had suffered 80 per cent burns to his body when hot water accidentally fell on him. The organisation gave the family Rs 1 lakh towards the boy, Ibrahim Batish’s treatment at a private hospital in the city.

Team B Human founder Asif Deals, members Basha, Althaf, Sadiq, Shameem and others were present.

It can be noted that Team B Human has been engaging in social services for the past several years. It has also disbursed grocery items to civic workers and poor people during the lockdown.
