Mangaluru: A five year old boy was allgedly beaten up by a teacher named Latha for not knowing the name of a vegetable as per reports.

The child is a student of Kidzee nursery school located in Attavar.

According to reports, the incident came to light on Tuesday when the relatives of the boy found marks of injury. It is learnt that the teacher had beaten the boy for not telling the name of a vegetable when asked. She also asked other students to make fun of him.

When the parents of the boy Rahmath and Minaz went to question Sukesh Uchil the principal of the school who is the husband of teacher, he denied any such incident.

However a case has been registered at a nearby police station.
