Mangaluru: In an incident reported from Subrahmanya of Kadaba taluk in Dakshina Kannada district, a teacher has been alleged of raping a minor and blackmailing her.

The teacher alleged of rape has been identified as Gururaj. It is said that his wife too has been an accomplice in this crime of his. He was allegedly raping the minor after calling her home on the pretext of project work.

It is alleged that both Gururaj and his wife, who hail from Raichur had photographed the minor girl nude and were threatening the girl to get money from her home. It is also alleged that the girl was being raped, threatened and blackmailed since 2018.

The minor girl has lodged a complaint at Subrahmanya Police Station following which Gururaj and his wife have been taken into custody by the police.
