Bantwal: The taluk office and sub-registrar’s office has been shifted to new building, as the construction of the mini Vidhana Soudha is likely to be taken up at the cost of Rs 10 crore at the same spot.

But the public complained that many files have not yet been shifted to the new building.

Only a few important files and documents have been shifted to the new premises leaving other files at the old office. Public are concerned about the security at the old office as the doors are kept open and anyone can enter, steal, misuse or tamper with the documents.

They have urged district authority to act soon and keep all the files in safe custody  before they reach the wrong hands.
