Sushma Swaraj to take part in rally against Derlakatte incident

Mangalore:The Jagruthi Mahila Vedike which has strongly condemned the Derlakatte incident, will hold a rally in the city on Thursday January 9, announced the secretary of the Vedike, Kamala Prabhakar Bhat.

Addressing  the media on Monday January 6, she  said that senior BJP leader  Sushma Swaraj, Smriti Irani and Uma Bharati, BJP National vice-presidents are among the prominent persons who would attend the rally.

The Vedike spoke about the rising and violence on girls in the society and alleged that the government had not taken appropriate measures to track the missing girls in the last 10 years. This, the Vedike said had led to incidents such as the Deralakatte forced sex case.

Asha Jagadish, Co-convenor of Vedike and other members were also present  at the press meet.
