Mangaluru: A 27-year-old youth from Surathkal, who died on Tuesday evening due to respiratory issues has been tested negative for COVID-19, on Wednesday, April 15.

The sudden death of the youth had left the region panic-stricken as difficulting in breathing is one of the known symptoms of Coronavirus infection.

Hence, immediately after the death of the youth, his throat swabs were sent for COVID-19 test.

The health department had also asked the family members of the deceased to be alert and avoid meeting people, until the testing report were out.
