Mangaluru: In an unfortunate incident reported from Sullia in Dakshina Kannada District, a teenager, who fell sick after brushing with rat poison mistaking it to be toothpaste died a week after on Sunday February 20.

The deceased has been identified as Shravya (17), daughter of Ramesh of Markanja Village here.

Despite rushing her to a hospital in Mangaluru, she succumbed without responding to treatment.

Shravya was a PU student of a college in Puttur.

Sullia Police has registered a case.
