Mangaluru: A case has been filed against ten people who are accused of abusing a 16-year-old boy and stealing arecanuts.

According to the sources, the accused Varshit, Sachin, Mokshit, Sanath, Murali, Dinesh, Ishwarchandra, and Chetan are said to have fled after a video of the incident which occurred last week in Purlumakki near Guthigar, Sullia in Dakshina Kannada District went viral on social media.

The victim filed a complaint with the Department of Child Welfare. The case is being investigated by Subrahmanya police based on the video footage.
