Mangalore:The Panambur Beach Life Guards have rescued a  young woman who had allegedly attempted suicide along with her one year old child by jumping into the sea on October 21, Monday. The  Life Guards however could not save the kid.

The woman named Nadiya (24), wife of Ajmal of Kudroli had taken the extreme step at Koorikatta near Baikampady. A quarrel with her husband over a trivial issue is suspected to be   the reason for her suicide attempt. Nadiya also has a three year old son.

Panambur police have registered a case and are conducting the investigations.
