Mangaluru: Due to incessant rains and overflowing of water bodies in Kukke Subrahmanya surroundings of Dakshina Kannada District a tragedy has ensued on the night of Monday August 1.
A house collapsed due to a massive landslide and two children were stuck inside the debris. The bodies of two children trapped under the mud after a hillock collapsed following a landslide has been found.
The rescue operation using a JCB was carried out late in the night. Two girls, 11-year-old Shruti and 8-year-old Ganashree are the deceased. It is learnt that two others have been rescued.
