Mangalore: Two students of Vivekananda College, Puttur who failed in the final semester LLB examination, conducted by Karnataka State Law University have blamed the ‘irresponsible evaluation of their answer papers’.

The students expressed displeasure about the evaluation here in the press club on Thursday, September 11. Both the students said that they failed in one of the subjects.
Asma, student of Vivekananda College said that it was not only we two but out of 28 students, more than 20 of them are facing similar issue. However, they have been keeping quiet fearing the college management.
She said that the student who scored highest in all the other semesters scored only 56% this semester, which shows improper evaluation.
Prameela, another student who accompanied her said that the evaluation conducted by Karnataka State Law University is not according to the standards.
Tahir Hussain, president of Human Rights and Corruption Eradication Union, Puttur pointed out negligence while evaluating the answer sheets of the tenth semester of LLB exams.
He said that both have a track record of scoring well in the exams, and this result was a shocker. He said, “It’s nothing but irresponsibility of the evaluators. The future of these students is at stake. Hence, I request the university to re-evaluate the answer sheets and justice be served to students”.
The students said that they will appeal to the Governor and the home minister and file a writ petition in the High Court of Karnataka.
