Mangaluru: In a tragic incident, a lady lost her life after being run over by a speeding tempo traveler, at Kolya on the outskirts of the city, on Wednesday, February 17.

The deceased has been identified as Nagamma (65), a resident of Saraswathi Kumeru here.

Nagamma and her daughter had taken part in a family function at Ombathukere and as the daughter had to board the bus to Kasargod, the two were walking towards the bus stop. Even as Nagamma held on to her daughter’s hand while crossing the road, the speeding traveler crushed her to death.

Her body has been completely mutilated in the mishap.

She was an employee of Summer Sands resorts in Ullal.

She is survived by her three daughters and one son.
