Kasaragod: A speeding Maruti Ritz car went off the road sending panic waves among the bystanders waiting for the bus. In the ghastly incident, an elderly woman died and two others suffered grievous injuries on February 1 at Chetukundu in Bekal police station limits.

Kunzhishia (65), a resident of Chetukundu is the deceased.

Seriously injured Shamshad (40) and Baby (40) were rushed to hospitals in Mangaluru for further treatment.

Bekal police have registered a case.
