Kasaragod: A speeding ambulance hit an auto killing its driver on the night of September 12 at Sullipady in Kasaragod.

Abdul Nasser (48) from Deli village is the deceased auto driver.

After visiting his daughter admitted in a private hospital in Sullipady, the auto driver was inching towards the main road when the speeding ambulance hit the auto. The injured driver was shifted to a hospital in Mangaluru immediately, but failed to recover.

The ambulance was carrying two injured people to a hospital in Mangaluru when the accident occurred. The injured victims were shifted to a different ambulance after the accident and then taken to Mangaluru.

Kasaragod traffic police registered a case and are investigating.
