Southern Railway has announced special train services between Tambaram and Mangaluru to accommodate the extra rush of passengers. The schedule for these special trains is as follows:
From Tambaram to Mangaluru:
Train No. 06049 will depart from Tambaram at 1:30 PM on April 19, 26, and May 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31 (Fridays). It will arrive at Mangaluru Central at 7:30 AM the following day.
From Mangaluru to Tambaram:
Train No. 06050 will depart from Mangaluru Central at 12:00 PM on April 21, 28, and May 5, 12, 19, 26, and June 2 (Sundays). It will arrive at Tambaram at 5:30 AM the next day.
Route and Coach Configuration:
These trains will run via Chennai Egmore, Perambur, and Katpadi. They will consist of 19 general second class coaches and two second class coaches equipped for disabled passengers.
