Mangaluru: Southern Railway has announced the operation of a few special trains in order to accommodate a rush of passengers travelling for the Onam festival.
According to the Palakkad division of the Indian Railways, Train Number 06095 Thiruvananthapuram – Mangaluru Junction Special will leave Thiruvananthapuram at 6.05 pm on September 9 and reach Mangaluru Junction at 7.30 am the next day. Train Number 82641 Thiruvananthapuram – Mangaluru Junction Suvidha Special will leave Thiruvananthapuram at 6.05 pm on September 11 and reach Mangaluru Junction at 7.30 am the next day.
For the return journey, Train Number 06096 Mangaluru Junction – Thiruvananthapuram Special will leave Mangaluru Junction at 12:15 noon on September 10 and 12, and reach Thiruvananthapuram at 3:05 am the next day.
The special trains will make stops at Kollam, Kayamkulam, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Chenganacheri, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrissur, Shorannur Junction, Kozhikode, Vadakara, Thalassery, Kannur, Payyanur, Kanhangad, and Kasargod.
