Sons abandon alcoholic father in Charmady Forest

Vittal: The modern day world sees many cases of children sending their aged parents to old age homes, no longer interested in taking care of them. But, in a bizarre case reported from Belthangady, two sons did not   take their father to old age home, but chose to abandon him in the thick forests of Charmady. All because they could no longer bear with his alcoholism and nuisance.

Taniappa Kulal (58) hailing from Mittakodi is the man whose sons Anand and Dayanand took him by a car and dumped him in the forests. Incidentally, Taniappa who had suffered a fall some time back, was no longer working, but was good at boozing and creating trouble.

Left all alone in the forest, Kulal somehow managed to track the trail of the car and reached the main road where he came across some relatives who took him back home.
