SKDRDP’s insurance scheme to benefit 10 lakh policy holders: Dr. Veerendra Heggade

Belthangadi: The Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) sponsored insurance scheme will benefit 10 lakh policy holders, said Dharmadhikari Dr. Veerendra Heggade.

He was speaking while handing over Rs 40 Crore premium amount cheque to four state-owned insurance companies in Dharmasthala today.

The Sampoorna Suraksha insurance scheme which started in 2004 to benefit all stake holders and family members of SKDRDP has completed 13 years. Around 2.5 lakh members were added this year to the scheme taking the total to 10 lakhs. In all, Rs 38 Crore worth of benefits have been doled out to 70,084 members till date and additional benefits of Rs 8 Crore.

Hemavathy Heggade, Programme Executive Director Dr. H L Manjunath, Finance Director Shantharam Pai, Director of Sampoorna Suraksha Abraham, representatives of state-owned insurance companies and others were present on the occasion.
