SJEC Holds Final Year Project Exhibition ‘Technova-2024’

Mangaluru: Technova-2024, the Final Year Project Exhibition was held at St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC), Mangaluru on 2 May, 2024.

Technova-2024, the Exposition of Projects of outgoing Josephites, works for encouraging the creativity and technical talents of the students through their final year projects.

A great opportunity to expose their creativity, technical knowledge, teamwork, communication skills, acumen for research and development activities, to their peer group, budding engineers, faculty and the general community.

The Exhibition was held from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm and was hosted by the convener of the program, Joel D’mello, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, briefed the guests about the exhibition.

Dr Rio D’Souza, Principal of SJEC welcomed the gathering. He provided an overview of the exhibition and highlighted the importance of final year BE projects.

He emphasized the need for students to use their knowledge and creativity to develop innovative projects that could have a positive impact on society.

Rev. Fr Wilfred Prakash D’Souza, Director, SJEC, Rev. Fr Kenneth Rayner Crasta, Assistant Director, SJEC, Dr Purushothama Chippar, Vice Principal, SJEC and heads of six engineering departments along with the department project coordinators were present.

Twenty experts from different Industry and Technical Institution evaluated 150+ projects carried out in six engineering disciplines namely Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning.

They adjudicated the best project of the year, the second prize winner, third prize winner and innovative project prize in each discipline.
