Mangaluru: V G Siddhartha’s deceased body has finally been found on the river bank, near an ice plant at Mulihithlu in Hoige Bazaar, on Wednesday, July 31 morning.

The fishermen, who had gone out fishing, spotted the body floating near the river bank. They informed the others and brought it to the shore. With this, the 36-hour-long search operation for the missing businessman has ended.

The dead body has been moved to the mortuary at Wenlock Hospital.

Cafe Coffee Day founder-chairman, V G Siddhartha had gone missing from the Ullal bridge after alighting from his car on Monday evening at around 7.30 PM. Soon after he went missing, a search operation was launched by the district administration with the help of the NDRF, scuba divers and local swimming experts among others.
