Moodbidri: Shruti A R who is pursuing her Master’s Degree at Alvas college has received ‘Karnataka Kreedaratna award-2013’ for her achievement in the ball badminton championships at the national level.

She has won the national junior championship 6 times, National senior championship 9 times, 3 national south level, 3 National Akhila Bharath VV and 9 Akhila Bharatha open badminton competitions and has won many medals.

She was also honoured with Star of India award.

Alvas director Dr M Mohan Alva, Karnataka Ball Badminton Associaton and Mangaluru V V Physical education department have congratulated her on her achievement.
