Puttur: Adike Patrike (Areca News) executive editor, Shri Padre who was chosen as the International Diplomat for Jackfruit in recognition of his work by the Thiruvanthapuram based Jackfruits promotion council and Shanthigram Institutions received the award on Wednesday, July 20 evening.

The award was presented by Kerala agricultural minister VS Sunil Kumar at a simple ceremony.

Shri Padre has created lot of excitement among the jackfruit lovers worldwide through his literary works and through social networking.

His agriculture related literary works are well known and was in the forefront in creating awareness about water harvesting.
