Beltangady, Apr 2: Sharana culture is not like stagnant water. It flows continuously. It helps the humanity in a big way by propagating equality among people of different caste, creed and faith in the society, said Swami Shivarudra of Belimut, Bangalore.










Swami Shivarudra was speaking during flagging off of Sharana Samskruti Mahayatra at Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala, here on Monday April 1.
‘The true religion promotes global peace and brotherhood. The concept of equality should be imbibed in families, to foster equality among people. The divine graces are aplenty on selfless people. The preaching of contemporary visionary Basavanna are ideals for leading peaceful living,’ said Swami Shivarudra.
Bangalore based Basava Committee president Arvind Jatti in his introductory address said that Sharana Samskruti Mahayatra has the objectives of rekindling the conscience to lead meaningful lives based on the preaching of contemporary visionary Basavanna, said Arvind. He also urged to sustain Sharana culture.
Dr D Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadikari of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala in his presidential address said equality and community service are the key factors that signify Sharana culture. There should not be violation in words and deeds. One should make the better use every opportunity to lead better life. The teaching of Basavanna are ever prevalent, said Dr Heggade.
Swami Siddalinga of Belimut, Professor Basavaraj Madigonda, Dr B Yasho Varma and Professor Mitun Chakravarti were present at the occasion.
