Mangaluru: Shanady Ajith Kumar Hegde assumed charge as the new Commissioner of the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) on Tuesday, September 17.

Hegde replaced Mohammed Nazeer, who has been posted as the Managing Director (MD) of Mangaluru Smart City Limited. He previously served as the additional director and chief accounts officer, watershed development department.

It can be noted that Hegde also served as in-charge commissioner of the MCC in the year 2013.
