Mangaluru: The City Crime Branch sleuths have arrested one person, an aide of Kali Yogisha in connection with serial shootout in the city.

Dinesh (35), a resident of Haleangadi is the arrested. With this, the total number of arrests in the case has gone up to four.

The police confiscated two mobile phones in his possession. Reportedly, Dinesh was in touch with Kali Yogisha and was passing on information to him.

The accused was produced before the court which remanded him to 15 days judicial custody.

It may be recalled that in December last year, a few miscreants had opened fire at Sri Rajashree Jewellers in Kinnigoli, Mulki and Sanjeeva Shetty Silk garments with an intent of extorting protection money. In this connection, the police had arrested Manoj and Chandrashekar and confiscated 2 pistols and 7 live bullets from them on 28 December 2017. Later, on 14 February 2018, CCB had nabbed Tejpal (33), a resident of Chitrapu, Mulki in connection with the case.
