Mangaluru: Rukmini Srinivasan (68), resident of Bejai-Kapikad, passed away at her son’s residence in Mysuru on Thursday, May 30 morning. She was the wife of senior meteorologist Late G Srinivasan and is survived by two sons, daughters-in-law and three grandchildren.

Her older son Srinivasan Nandagopal, was formerly a correspondent of Times of India in Mangaluru and Bengaluru. He currently runs the Centre for Integrated Learning, a city-based NGO. His younger son Karthikeyan is based in Mysuru.

Taking to Facebook on Thursday, Nandagopal expressed his grief saying, “Shattered I am as I have in a way lost myself. .. Amma you will be missed in your physical form. … Just can’t believe as you suddenly vanished into thin air…. RIP Rukmini Srinivasan 14 May 1951 – 30 May 2019 (sic).”
